Accommodation foil for a floor install
Storied need a stable, smooth surface beneath them. Although some types of hardwood flooring can be linked to underfloors or even directly to crossbeams, others require accommodation foil. Accommodation foil is also necessary for sheet vinyl, vinyl tiles, ceramic tiles and some carpets.
Tile backing Board is the best accommodation foil for ceramic tiles. The support of governance and the subfloor must be a combined thickness of 1 1/8-inch. Chipboard or plywood are used in other types of flooring.
Installing Underlayment. Remove the skirting and cut back a housing with a backsaw.
Layout the accommodation foil with joints staggered. If the subfloor is plywood, place the accommodation foil perpendicular to the plates of plywood. Avoid using small pieces of shelter under foil a vinyl floor.
Cut the accommodation foil, so that the border 3/8-inch of the walls. Cut-outs for pipes or doorways with a compass or scribe mark and cut them with a jigsaw puzzle.
Confirm the accommodation foil with construction glue and 8 d ring-shank nails or concrete lined. Nail in the floor beams. At the edges and seams on each use, which do not fall on a line, 1 1/4-inch ring-shank nails or screws construction plate.
If the word finish vinyl is, fill in all the seams and nail holes.
