Replacing Furnace Filters
Change an oven air filter is a job that is easier and cheaper to do yourself. A filter in a forced air furnace intends to keep dust, soot and other dirt transmitted by the air out of the air that blows in the area of life. Because air has more problems to pass through a filter dirt loaded, her oven has to work harder when the filter gets dirty.
Change the filter at least a couple of times during primary heating season and as often as every month if you live in a dusty area or if your oven has to work long hours. If your central air conditioning unit also circulates through your furnace filter, you must replace the filter during the cooling season as well.
The cost of a new filter – from a few dollars to $20, depending on the size – quickly will be re-compensated by lower energy bills. And it will save tension in your oven in the long run, too.
It is not difficult to change a furnace filter. If reading these instructions, you still have questions about how to do this, ask your furnace service person to demonstrate the process during the forthcoming visit of routine, you can do the task with confidence.
