Change an oven air filter is a job that is easier and cheaper to do yourself.  A filter in a forced air furnace intends to keep dust, soot and other dirt transmitted by the air out of the air that blows in the area of life.  Because air has more problems to pass through a filter dirt loaded, her oven has to work harder when the filter gets dirty.

Change the filter at least a couple of times during primary heating season and as often as every month if you live in a dusty area or if your oven has to work long hours.  If your central air conditioning unit also circulates through your furnace filter, you must replace the filter during the cooling season as well.
