Governor’s House
The Governor House at Lahore is built and developed round a tomb which by the 19th century about 130 years ago, at the beginning of the British period for the residence of Chief Executive of the province. Historian on Lahore viz. Mr. Thornton and JL Kipling, Syed Muhammad Latif, HRGrounding is unanimously attributed to one Muhammad Qasim Khan, a cousin from the mother’s side of Emperor Akbar. The Various styles of architecture of different portions added to the house from time to time reflects the history of those periods. So do the pieces of olden days which are still in use the house. The building has a remarkable structure, continues additions and modifications, for a very long time, have mad it an extraordinary complex and it took the eyes of an expert like him to discern and describe its various aspects.
