Before you begin, you should paint or stain your sash and grille. Also, be sure not to press on the glass with hands or tools.

1. Remove grille clips from bag and count them.
2. Divide sides that are the longest (horizontal and vertical) of unit by equal parts using the number of clips supplied. A 28 inch sash or longer should get clips on all sides.
3. Place the grille grid or grille clip into the space between the glass an interior wood sash grid.
4. The front of the clip has a small pocket designed to hold a screwdriver. Place a small standard screwdriver into the pocket and gently push the clip into place.
5. Push the clip until the bottom inside corner is against the interior wood sash grid.
6. Once all clips are installed, take the grille system and place it against the grille clips on the sash, starting at one end, push the grille system into place. Then secure the other side. If installing a 28 inch or larger sash secure the sides then the top and then the bottom of the grille system.
7. For removing and cleaning the grille system, push the grille to one side and pull the grille towards you.

Troubleshooting:

If grille is too tight, relocate the clips away from the horizontal and vertical bars on the grille system.

If grille is too loose, relocate the clips closer to the horizontal and vertical bars on the grille system.
