How To Build a Workshop Addition Part Two
Starting in 2007, Markerbuoy & Trimmerboy built a timber frame workshop on a remote island in western Canada. All the timber was cut from the property or kindly donated by neighbours; It was milled with a chainsaw complete with an Alaska mill attachment. Neighbours and friends also kindly helped with a lot of the heavy lifting. Once the roof was on the workshop and we started to plank the external walls, we realized that we could use a little extra room, considering the future projects we had in mind. Hence this addition; extra room for equipment and supplies, in order to keep the shop space clear most of the time. Part two of the series shows how we installed the roof on the addition, using site milled lumber and hand peeled logs. “Off To Osaka” by Kevin MacLeod (incompetech.com) Licensed under Creative Commons “Attribution 3.0” creativecommons.org Thanks Kevin!
