Stripping wood floors? Need help!

Renovation on the top of my list to get done before baby is that the floors stripped on the second floor of our House. The floors are all original wide plank, painted in a range of creams and Brown.
I don’t know the best process to remove the paint and when I bring it up with Greg he gets frustrated and complains that the floors will be ruined and irrespective of their character as I have them sanded. I realize it was customary to floors have painted back in the day and the only recently become fashionable to be stripped to just wood.
So I start to reach out to my readers because I am crazy. I just want the paint out. Can you help? You have your floors stripped or the method you want to call of the process? What is the best way to preserve them so they do not separate from their old house job? Can you someone that does this kind of work?
We strip the paint from the baseboards in our den with the help of The Silent paint Remover that works great! But the remover that we have is small and fast overheated when applied right down which makes the process very labor intensive. If we could find a crew that does this kind of removal that would be ideal because it does not require sanding. I don’t need every small speck of paint off but something where most of it is gone.
I found this list on water-based website’s whole life and natural sealers as well as waxes and oils. I don’t want super smooth floors with heavy poly but something soft and hopefully with the help of a natural product.
