“I knew my client loved the glass, since we had installed a large glass work of art in their living room,” explained Krai. Inspired by a Chicago hotel mosaic tile floor, Krai chose a combination of Bottocino marble, Thassos and Calcutta for the customer’s own bathroom floor. “This was the inspiration for the rest of the elections,” she added.

In shades of beige, gray, cream and white, stone and Marble Mosaic mirror in glass vanity. “I knew a mirrored vanity would add glamour to the room at the same time also reflects mosaic tile design on the floor – one of my client’s preferred choice,” said Krai. The challenge was to create a clean look for vanity at the same time as the necessary outlets and storage. “I did not want to divide the solid mirrored doors bustle with drawers, so I decided on solid doors on the front of vanity,” she explained. By adding the pullout drawers behind vanity, Krai kept it neat look and maintained functionality.

In addition to this glamorous, but uncluttered design map Krai also was instructed to use the existing footprint and plumbing. “The challenge that this entire area look new again and still reuse existing tub,” she said. White glass steps and a tub deck replaced the earlier dark granite surround under a faux-finished arch. By choosing white glass instead of white quartz, expanded the transparent glass Vanity clean look. “Different textures of the unique materials add luxury to a neutral color palette,” said Krai. The countertop bamboo-textured plate of glass ribbon into the stone creamy beige color in the tile mosaic. “Since we are using a neutral color palette, I also had to keep the look neutral but still find elegant selections that would add pizazz to the top of the vanity and work with glass top, ‘ she continued. Glass artist Susan Guttman delivered the solution with hand-blown glass sinks, which uses several shades of white. “Not an easy task, but she created two beautiful sinks that were the perfect complement to the counter glass” added Krai.

Above each sink adds a downlight peak and sparkle. “The most important part about lighting in a bathroom are to be functional,” said Krai. Vanity light line each side of the mirror for make-up and shaving. “I’ve added additional downlights for overall lighting, but the chandelier should be special,” she added. “With a glittery silver shade, Leatherman kick crystals and capiz shell chandelier adds elegance and pizazz, while keeping the palette neutral.”

A mirror and white-colored glass backsplash bound together by neutral palette and glass theme for the final touch. “[Bad] gives a feeling of being pampered in pure luxury and elegance in a spa atmosphere,” said Krai. “It’s perfect for relaxing after a long day or to get a fresh start in the morning.”
