and bath main of this jewel of Texas

Natural, eco friendly and soothing are three adjectives Christi Palmer, President of Palmer Todd, used to describe the space – a space that allows owners to feel close to nature.

“The organizational structure of the House with its interesting curved walls is a representation of the fluidity of the views of the river down,” he said. “The kitchen in this space works as the social epicenter of this House which was created for relaxing getaways and casual entertainment”.
Palmer and his firm worked with MC2 architects of Houston to create a floor plan open in that family and friends could interact and one in which the owners could appreciate the outside from all angles. A person who is behind the Orange kitchen island can look out over the River through a glass wall.
“The owners wanted to clean lines and contemporary – a design that complements the overall architecture and not compete with it,” said Palmer. “We got through integrated hardware and stylish appliances.”
Convection, an integrated dishwasher, ovens countertops quartz and layers of lighting are some of the other elements that Palmer says makes cooking and cleaning in the kitchen a pleasure. A low maintenance wood veneer, earthy was used for cabinets, floors are a stamped concrete for a minimalist look and the hardware is recessed so that it doesn’t stick out. The lines clean and contemporary Cabinet, and according to Palmer, the kitchen European has a continental style.
“You wouldn’t know if you were in Italy or in Texas in this kitchen,” he added, “and the design could have worked 20 years as well as 20 years from now.”
A challenge to the project had to do with the fact that the House is curved along of the River on which it sits. From the radio in the kitchen wall is also curve, Palmer team and the architect had to make cabinets of work, so I created detail column pilaster between each of them.
“Being able to work closely with the architect from the beginning of the project for a better design”, said.
Regarding universal design elements, the gaps in the kitchen are all those guidelines and space is wheelchair friendly. Because the hardware is built, there is no danger of catching clothing in anything, and channels on the island and recessed finger grips provide easy access.
“The resulting design is a fantastic, modern cuisine that shows points of view on this incredible piece of property, uses sustainable materials and excites any chef preparing meals,” said Palmer.
Blissful bath
In keeping with the natural, organic and soothing feeling of the House, Palmer says that the functions of the master bathroom to the spa – like a refuge with a spacious shower in an open design, as well as a spa tub.
“Look should be clean, modern, and simple finishes that were easy to maintain,” he added.
Porcelain and glass tiles are used on the floors and walls and cabinets in a natural color palette provides a soothing, surreal feeling. Large windows in the bathroom brings the outside in and provide plenty of natural light.
“Main bath allows you to feel that you are showering out even when you are inside,” said Palmer. “Mirrors are placed in order to reflect the outside towards the inside.
